Notts GU11 Encinitas Rotary Cup CHAMPS!

Their first at 8:00 am on Saturday was an easy victory of 5-0 over FC Heat. The biggest challenge was the dewey wet field that had piles of mown grass and sizeable divets everywhere. This changed the ball action to say the least. Game number 2 was a bit drier at 12:20. Notts took this one 2-0 over LJ Impact. The real drama was to unfold on day two of this tournament.
Notts took the field at 10:20 on Sunday playing Intra Ramona. A goal in each half sealed the win in this game, but it was a hard fought battle by both teams. It also set up the championship game—against Intra Ramona at 1:00. Notts knew they'd have to play hard to take home the first place trophy. The game went scoreless, each side battling for a shot on goal. Though Notts came close many times, it wasn't until the last couple of minutes when Notts scored and then held off Intra Ramona to take the championship trophy and champion medals home.
